"If it was really the Will of God that His Son
should come to earth in order to suffer and to die,
then naturally human beings were necessary to carry
out this plan in an earthly way. Therefore all who hated,
slandered, betrayed, sentenced and killed Jesus would
simply have been indispensable perpetrators of the Will
of God."
Ernest
Schmitt
Was
the crucifixion of Jesus a dreadful crime committed
by Mankind against the Son of God? Ernest Schmitt says:
Yes.
Considering the events of the Old Testament, and the
reports of the New, he uses the historical, political
and religious circumstances of the time to develop his
argument: that the trial of Jesus was, from the outset,
intended to render harmless this embarrassing admonisher
and was decidedly not a part of the Creator's plan for
Salvation.
The conception of Jesus; death as expiation by proxy
is exposed by the author as a misinterpretation of Christ's
mission. His explanations lead the way out of the multitude
of errors which have oppressed us ever since Golgotha.
